From what language did English borrow bratwurst?

    Bratwurst is a German word - so it borrowed it from German!

    In german "brat" comes from "braten:" roast (in modern German) and Wurst means "saussage".

    Bratwurst is very common in Germany and in Austria and it's also a kind of "street food" sometimes.
