Earth have 2 movement, rotation and revolution.
Rotation means Earth takes 24 hours to complete it's axis. Axis is an imaginary line that pass through n & s poles of the Earth.
Effect of rotation is the causes of day and night. Day and night can happen because when Earth rotate, some of the part of the Earth will face to the Sun and half of the Earth will face away from the Sun.
Revolution of the Earth is the movement of the Earth around it's orbit (Elliptical orbit). Earth take 365 1/4 days to complete it's orbit. Revolution of the Earth is the causes of the Seasons.
