    The correct answer is B.

After World War II, millions of men returned home from their military service and went back to their previous jobs. This resulted in millions of women losing jobs and going back to being seen pre-World War II roles in the economy (very limited, focused on staying home and taking care of children).

As men came back from war, they started to get married and having families. With the mass increase in the child population, many couples started looking for homes. This resulted in an increase in the demand for housing. Along with this, businesses started to identify the fact that since there were so many children being born, there would be a huge market for selling products to children/teens.
