1. Consider Napoleon's remark that "the story of Rome is the story of the world." What do you think he meant by this?

    "The story of Rome is the story of the world" basically means all civilizations rise and fall just like in Rome. As the saying goes "History repeats itself", the same things is happening or will occur but in different locations.
