    B. Military trials held by the Allies against German leaders

    The Nuremberg trials were thirteen trials held by the Allies (United Kingdom, United States and Soviet Union) that took place from November 1945 to October 1946 to indict the former Nazi criminals of their actions during the Holocaust. There were 24 important Nazi officials and military men indicted for war crimes and crimes against peace and humanity. Twelve of them were sentenced to death, whereas the remaining were dictated to prison sentences or didn't receive any penalty.
