Which group of anti-Soviets did the U. S. support in Afghanistan?

    The correct answer is the Mujahadeen. These were muslims who opposed the Soviets in the war and practiced guerilla warfare against Soviet troops. Although it was historically a term for anyone participating in a Jihad, now it's mostly recognized in the Soviet-Afghan relations, and they were supported by the US who wanted to fight the Soviets.
