    Labor Unions were formed in order to support workers, since the working conditions during the Industrial Age were dangerous and stressful.

    If one person was to complain about their experiences to their boss, it's likely that the boss wouldn't listen, because hey! It's just one person, no big deal.

    Never underestimate the power of the group mind. When large groups approached the company heads who ran these factories, they had more power because they were united as a collective group.
