What is the emancipation proclamation and what did it still leave into question according to the southern states?

In general, the emancipation proclamation is a proclamation as issued by former US President Abraham Lincoln wherein the policy had freed a huge quantity of slaves in the Southern states. In addition, the executive order was one of the effects of the Civil War as the southern states were given much emphasis.
