What countries were responsible for writing the Treaty of Versailles? What was its purpose

    The countries of the allies during world war I, or Britian, Italy, France and the United States. It's purpose was to make Germany pay for all of the damage done to the allied nations, and to prevent another World War. These efforts however didn't work, as Germany started World War II
