Thirteen British colonies were divided into three geographic zones called the New England, Middle, and Southern colonies. The economic, social and political developments of each zone is different.

    Explanation:

New England colonies followed Theocracy which means that the government of New England were controlled by the church and the middle colonies followed a system wherein the church and the government were independent and separate. Southern colonies followed the system of oligarchy wherein the rich and wealthy plantation owners controlled the government. But all these three colonies followed democracy. The colonies practiced democracy and self rule.
