Dredd Scott v. John F. A Sandford was a legal case. In the case the supreme court ruled that Dred Scott (a slave) who was living in a free state was not allowed to have his freedom, that African Americans cannot get US citizenship and also declared the Missouri compromise illegal. It one of the cases which pushed the country closer to the civil war and is considered to be one of the worst decisions and also as a case in which judicial solution is applied to the political problem.
