    This statement is false.

The part about it being the largest is correct, however, the Third Estate was made up of the laborers and other common folk. They didn't have much money, though because they were the largest class, the wealthy resented them.

The Third Estate in the French society was the largest estate among the three estates in there, however it is not the wealthiest, not even rich. The population of the estate is about 98% of the total population in the country. It is mostly made up of those less fortunate people such as beggars, those who did not achieve any noble title and people coming from both urban, rural and provincial areas. Peasants, laborers, shopkeepers and other lowly people are in the third estate. The vast population does not prevent them from being exploited by other estates.
