Are cultural attitudes a more important driving force behind european imperialism in africa than political technological or economic reasons

    The question is basically asking what caused europeans to be able to control Africa. Was it the African culture? Or politically the government of Africa. The technology the europeans was usually better than in Africa, or the strength of the economy in europe over Africa. Essentially which one of these things made it possible for the europeans to rule.
