    This showed that he had a low opinion of Europeans.

    Ogier Ghiselan de Busbecq was born in 1522, and was a intermediate between Europeans and their imperial neighbors.

    Busbecq offered a more balanced view of the Ottomans to his fellow Europeans, based on firsthand experience.

    He wrote many letters to about his experiences.
