Poland had become the buffer state between Germany and the Soviet Union. It acted as a neutral ground on disputes. They often apply neutral policies. Other countries in Europe had also acted as Buffer State for the Soviet Union. In Asia the buffer state between the Soviet Union and China was Mongolia.
