The French and Indian war was fought between the British colonies and New France, both sides had Native American allies. It is also known as the Seven Years war, because it is the war in which New France was conquered by British America.

The French and indian war is called this because the French were aided by the Indians when they fought the British because they didn't have as many people as the British did
