How are the elements of photography used in the movie coraline

In Coraline they use old fashioned stop motion technique thats how the elements of photography is used with the old fashioned stop motion technique in the movie. They use photography to combine with the stop-motion to make the movie.

Well i know that there are a lot of leading lines in that movie but that's something you need to answer on your own, it's more of an opinion question.
