    The three men that represented the federalists in the ratification battle were James Madison, John Jay and Alexander Hamilton. Just in response to the question, there are three main federalists (I have done some research just to make sure that there aren't four).

    They each were behind the Federalist Papers, which were written to promote the ratification of the United States Constitution.
