How did the new immigrants of the late 1800s travel to America

The largest number of immigrants continued to come from northern and western Europe including Great Britain, Ireland, and Scandinavia. Immigrants entered the United States through several ports. Those from Europe generally came through East Coast facilities, while those from Asia generally entered through West Coast centers.
