What did Harding's return to normalcy program mean to Americans?

1. They were ready for a conservative leader to take them to a time of peace.

2. They wanted a progressive leader to continue the economic progress the United States was used to.

3. They wanted to keep the United States reputation as a powerful military leader.

4. The wanted to be internationalists, protecting those less fortunate around the world.
