    From these negotiations, two agreements were reached and signed on 17 September 1978 by then Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, with US President Jimmy Carter as the witness.

    The two deals were the following:

    Framework for Peace in the Middle East Agreed at Camp David. The conditions were that Israel would have to evacuate the Sinai in order to receive diplomatic recognition and complete access to the Suez Canal, while Egypt would limit its military exercises on the Israeli border. Framework for the Conclusion of a Peace Treaty between Egypt and Israel. In this instance, both parties agree to talk about the future of the West Bank and Gaza Strip and impulsing the creation of a Palestinian state.
