What social factors contributed to tensions between Mexicans and American immigrants after the Mexican Revolution?

    American immigrant didn't want to convert in catholic, and they didn't want to free their slaves, in addition, the immigration was another important social factor in this conflict because Mexico wants to stop the English-speaking settlers.

    In 1836 Mexico's President Antonio López want to impose abolishing slavery, but Santa Anna is took prisoners and sign a treaty recognizing the independence of Texas.

    In 1845 Texas become a slave state of the United States.
