The correct answer for 1 is Bay of pigs

It was a group of counter-revolutionaries who were trained by the CIA and sent to Cuba in order to overthrow Castro who came into power and who had more and more supporters. The United States didn't want there to be a communist regime in its neighborhood.

The correct answer for 2 is Tet

The Tet offensive was a victory for the United States and South Vietnam but it showed that North Vietnam was not an easy target and public found out that the war is actually a losing one. The sentiment turned and many Vietnam effort supporters stopped supporting it.
