    The domestic programs launches by president Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964-65 were called The Great Society. The term was coined by president during a speech at University of Michigan in 1964. The programs represented his domestic agenda and its goal was to completely eradicate racial injustice and poverty. New programs were designed to address medical care, urban planners, transportation and rural poverty. The programs were similar to the New Deal of Franklin D Roosevelt.
