The United States Parliament can be said to have two distinct arms that function in accordance with each other. These are namely the U. S Senate and the U. S House of Representatives.

In general, UK parliament arose in 1801 and US was inspired by House of Representatives idea. But US are not following that now. The US, a republic with monarchy form, whereas, the UK, a monarchy with republic form.
