    Hello!

William the conqueror of England, took power in the 11th century, from the year 1066 until the year 1087, the year of his death. He was the first king of this country of Norman origin.

William aspired to the crown, and claimed that the king of England had promised him in the past that the throne would be his. Therefore, he launched the military intervention and prepared a large fleet and a large army that landed in the south of England in September 1066 and defeated the forces of Harold Godwinson, an English count who had been named successor to the crown by the king himself on his deathbed. Overcoming then, to the forces of Haroldo in the battle of Hastings the 14 of October. Crowning itself as king that same year.
