    Explanation:

    The two men lived in different historical epochs, they did not cross each other's roads. Alexander the Great reached India and conquered parts of it in the 4th century BCE, while Ashoka lived and ruled in the 3rd century BCE. Alexander died much before Asoka ascended to the throne of the Mauryan Empire.
