What event occurred in 1775?

The Sugar and Stamp Acts were passed.

The Townshend Acts were passed.

The Declaration of Independence was written.

    I'm not sure if any were begun in 1775. The American Revolution was occurring at the time but it started in 1760's the sugar and stamp acts were in 1764 and 1765, While the Townsend act was in 1770. The declaration wasn't even started until 1817.

    April 5,1764, Parliament passes a modified version of the Sugar and Molasses Act of 1733. So it can't be A. But let's look at the Stamp Act real quick.

    The Stamp Act was passes in 1765. 10 years earlier of 1775.

    The English Parliament passed the Townshed act 1767. The act imposed duties on glass, lead, paint, paper and tea imported into the colonies.

    The Declaration of Independence was written in 1776.

    The American Revolution began on April 19, 1775. It lasted till September 3 1783.
