    This statement is very far from true actually.

    After the the break-in occurred, Congress immediately became skeptical after president Nixon was reported to have connections with the agents.

    They even involved the Supreme court when Nixon refused to hand over tapes involved with the incident, proclaiming that his executive privilege allowed him to keep the tapes confidential. This is what created the U. S v. Nixon supreme court landmark case.

    This case shows us the limitations of executive privilege.
