Why do you think that the scholarly community did not believe Anna Kjellström's conclusion that the skeleton was a woman?

    The scholarly community did not believe Anna's conclusion that the skeleton was a woman since this kind of incidence was unheard of. In most cases when the term warrior was mentioned most people visualized a man. Archaeologists, on the other hand, defined gender roles and viewed men as wielders of violence unlike women. Therefore until they had evidence that a woman could be a Viking warrior, it remained hard to believe that the skeleton was a woman.
