The Caribbean crisis was a confrontation between two great countries, the United States and the USSR. It all started after the United States placed its missiles on the territory of Turkey, the range of which captured significant Soviet area. So after the deployment of American missiles, the USSR decided to place its missiles in Cuba. America regarded those actions as a threat.
Each side demanded to remove the missiles. The aggravation of the situation could lead to World War 3. Fortunately, the conflict was through via peaceful negotiations. The leaders of the two countries, Kennedy and Khrushchev, showed restraint and common sense.
