    There were several different innovations that came out of World War I including: 1) The development of the tank - This allowed soldiers to be transported at a faster rate and also allowed increased protection during their travels.

    2) Poison gas - This dangerous chemical gas was used as a means to combat the strategy of trench warfare.

    3) Airplanes - This was the first major war that used airplanes as a means of transporation. This use of airplanes would revolutionize the way war is fought forever.
