    The Spanish American war was a belic conflict that begun in 1898 and involved Spain (including Cuba and the Philippines) and the United States. The Leaders involved were:

    Queen Maria Cristina of Austria (regent) Admiral Pascual Cervera, who commanded the Spanish Caribbean fleet in Cuba Praxedes Mateo Sagasta, Patricio Montojo, Pascual Cervera, Asenio Linares, Manuel Macías, Ramón Blanco, Antero Rubín, Valeriano Weyler (Spanish army) Máximo Gómez, Calixto García, Demetri Castillo (Cuba) Emilio Aguinaldo, Apolinario Mabini (in Philippines)

    From the US:
