In the 1930's in Germany times were pretty hard because they went through an economic depression, putting millions out of work. The loss that Germany faced from their humiliating defeat a few years earlier from WWI and so Germany people lacked in confidence for their government. Based off of these conditions, there was a chance for a new leader, Adolf Hitler, and his party, the National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nazi Party).

Hitler was actually a really powerful speaker who really appealed to a great number of desperate Germans for change. Hitler promised a better life and a new way of making Germany great again. The Nazis also played an important role in the attraction to Hitler by the unemployed, and members of the middle class and even young people.
