the petition of the right challenged the traditional idea of the divine right of kings. Give at least one specific example that supports this statement, and explain how its underlying message weakened the divine right theory.

    Kings back in the day were thought to have been close to god becuase they ruled people but as more kings became corrupt and did not focus on the needs of the people they resented the theory.
