    27x^2 - 42x + 12

GCF of all terms is 3.

    27/3 = 9x^2

    -42/3 = - 14x

    12/3 = 4

    27x^2 - 42x + 12 = 3 (9x2 - 14x + 4)

    3 (9x^2 - 14x + 4)
