To find which one is the more economical purchase, we must get them both to cost per ounce.

To do this, we take the cost, and divide it by the ounces.

    $1.69/12 = $.14 per ounce for Barilla

    S2.75/24 = $.11 per ounce for Field

Since $.14 per oz is more than $.11 per oz, that makes Field more a economical purchase.
