    You would just plug in numbers until you find two the work in the equation:

    12x+9y=72

    x=3 y=4

    The correct answer is 3 adult tickets and 4 child tickets.

    Hello!,

    First you would divide 72 by 12 which would be ... 6 okay 6 adults.

    Second you would divide 72 by 9 witch is ... 8 kids

    6 adults 8 kids
