    Hi

    4 (5 + 2x) - 5 = 3 (3x + 7)

    20 + 8x - 5 = 9x + 21

    8x + 15 = 9x + 21

    8x - 9x = 21 - 15

    -x = 6

    Divide both sides by - 1

    -x/-1 = 6/-1

    x = - 6
