A rectangular shed is fenced with 120 ft long bared wire. If the length of the shed is twice as the width what is the length?

    Length (L) : 2w

    width (w) : w

    Perimeter (P) = 2L + 2w

    120 = 2 (2w) + 2 (w)

    120 = 4w + 2w

    120 = 6w

    20 = w

    Length (L) : 2w = 2 (20) = 40

    Answer: 40 ft
