If you pay the first chauffeur $30, and take a 2 kilometer trip, the total is $32.

If you pay the second chauffeur $3, and take a 10 kilometer trip, the total is $32.

    The total fare is $32

And the distances are 2 kilometers for the first, and 10 kilometers for the second.
