X/3 + x/2 = 5/6 solve for x

    So try to get rid of the fractions by finding a common factor

    common factor of 3 and 2 and 6 is 6 so

    x/3 times 2/2=2x/6

    x/2 times 3/3=3x/6

    so

    2x/6+3x/6=5/6

    add

    5x/6=5/6

    multily boths ides by 6

    5x=5

    divide by 5

    x=1
