    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given that,

    Speed of toy car is 4 miles per hour

    S=4mph

    And the distance travelled is 9miles

    d=9mi

    Time taken?

    So, speed is given as

    Speed = distance / time taken

    S=d/t, make t subject of formua

    S*t=d

    t=d/S

    t=9/4

    t=2.25 hours

    t = 2 hours ¼hour

    1hour = 60mins

    t = 2hours ¼*60mins

    t=2hours 15mins

    Or

    1 hour is 60mins

    t=2.25*60 = 135mins

    t=60mins+60mins+15mins

    t = 1 hour + 1 hour + 15mins

    t=2hours 15mins
