The easiest way for me to solve this would be to simply multiply 1/6 by 4 and I got 4/24

    4 boxes = 1/6 of a pound

If each box weighs the same then you should divide 1/6 of a pound by four. That should give you the weight of each box.

    Step One:

    1/6:4 = ?

    Step Two:

Change the four to a fraction

    1/6:4/1 = ?

    Step 3:

Use the Keep/Flip/Change rule to rewrite the problem to an easier one.

    1/6 (Keep) : 4/1 = ?

    1/6:1/4 (Flip) = ?

    1/6 * (Change) 1/4 = ?

    Now you have this equation:

    1 1

    - - * - - = ?

    6 4

    Step 4:

    Multiply across.

    1 1 1

    - - - * - - - = - - -

    6 4 24

    Step 5:

    Write it out.

Now you have your answer and should write it in C. S. R. Q. format. (Complete Sentence that Restates the Question)

Each box Kayla packed weighs 1/24 of a pound.
