The diameter of a tire is 2.5 ft.

a.) Find the circumference of the tire.

b.) About how many times will the tire have to rotate to travel 1 mile? (1 mile = 5,280 ft)

    A) 7.85 ft. You would use Pi x diameter to get the circumference (2.5 x Pi = 7.85ft)

    b) 5280 (1 mile) : 7.85 (Circumference) = 672.6 (Or rounded up, 673)
