Select the correct answer. Which equation represents circle W? A. (x - 6) 2 + (y + 4) 2 = 4 B. (x - 6) 2 + (y + 4) 2 = 16 C. (x + 6) 2 + (y - 4) 2 = 4 D. (x + 6) 2 + (y - 4) 2 = 16

(the twos on the side are exponents, they're being squared)

    You forgot the circle.

    But to find it

The equation of a circle is

    (x-h) ^2 + (y-k) ^2=r^2

So the h is the x coordinate of the center.

If your x value is positive you write it as a negative and if it's negative you write it as positive. Same with k that represents the y coordinate of the center. Lastly, the r^2 is just the radius squared.

So if you had a circle with a center at (-2,5) and a radius of 3.

    You'd get

    (x+2) ^2 + (y-5) ^2=9
