The base of the figure shown is a cube with sides that are 12 inches long. the total height of the figure is 20 inches. the slant height of the pyramid on top of the cube is 10 inches. what is the total surface area of the figure?

    Assuming that the dimensions for the Cube are-

    Length-12

    Width-12

    Height-12

    And for the Pyramid-

    Length-12

    Width-12

    Height-8

    Slant Height-10

    We first solve the Pyramid by using the formula-

    (Base Area) + 4 (Length*Slant Height divided by 2)

    (12*12) + 4 (12*10)

    2

    144+4 (12*10)

    2

    144+4 (60) 12*10=120 120/2=60

    144+240
