Rajesh told Margaret that he ate half of the amount of cookies that josh ate. Margaret does not know how many cookies Josh ate. a. Using the variable c to represent the amount of cookies that josh ate, write an expression that represent s the amount of the cookies that Rajesh ate. b. If rajesh actually ate one more than half of the amount josh ate, write an expression that represents the amount of cookies Rajesh ate.

    a. 1/2 of Josh's cookies is the same thing as 1/2 of c which can be written as 1/2c.

    b. We know that one half of the amount Josh ate is 1/2c from the previous problem. One more than that is simply 1/2c + 1.
