    -5x = x + 6 (1-x)

    -5x = x + 6 (1) + 6 (-x)

    -5x = x + 6 - 6x

    -5x = x - 6x + 6

    -5x = - 5x + 6

    -5x + 5x = 6

    0 = 6 Not equal. No solution.

    (2x-5) ² = (2x-1) (2x+1) - 10 (2x-1)

    (2x-5) (2x-5) = (2x-1) (2x+1) - 20x + 10

    2x (2x-5) - 5 (2x-5) = 2x (2x+1) - 1 (2x+1) - 20x + 10

    4x² - 10x - 10x + 25 = 4x² + 2x - 2x - 1 - 20x + 10

    4x² - 20x + 25 = 4x² - 20x - 1 + 10

    4x² - 20x + 25 = 4x² - 20x - 9

    Not equal. No solution.
