At the market, Meyer buys a bunch of bananas for $0.65 per pound and a froze pizza for $4.99. the total or his purchase was $6.94, without tax. how many pounds of bananas did Meyer buy?

    The first thing you have to do is subtract the price of the pizza from the total price.

    6.94-4.99=$1.95

    The $1.95 is how much he spent on bananas. To find how many pounds that is, you divide by. 65

    1.95:.65=3

    He bought 3 pounds of bananas.
